Connect Counselling available for those upset by BBC Report on Child Abuse

Connect is be available to provide free telephone-based counselling and support to anyone distressed by the current focus on child abuse following the BBC programme on Cardinal Sean Brady and Brendan Smyth.

The service will be available this evening, and over the weekend, to provide support and counselling.

Connect’s opening hours are 6-10pm, Wednesday to Sunday.

Connect provides professional telephone based counselling to survivors of abuse at freephone 1800 477 477 from the Republic of Ireland and 00800 477 477 77from Northern Ireland and the UK.

Connect was established at the request of survivor groups to provide an out-of-hours phone counselling and support service to people who have suffered abuse.
