Connect Counselling
Connect Counselling provides free, confidential emotional support and counselling for adults experiencing trauma, abuse, mental health difficulties and emotional distress.
Our service offers a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where people can speak openly with trained, accredited clinicians who listen with empathy, care and understanding.
Telephone Counselling & Emotional Support
Connect provides accessible telephone-based support designed to help people feel heard, supported and less alone, particularly when other services may not be immediately available or accessible.
Originally established to support adults affected by childhood abuse and neglect in Ireland, Connect Counselling continues to evolve to support additional populations, including men seeking mental health support, while remaining grounded in the same core principles of compassion, trust, professionalism and accessibility.
Our freephone support services help reduce barriers to accessing professional emotional support, ensuring people can access timely care in confidence when they need it most.
Support calls
This may suit you if you want to talk about your experience. It normally involves shorter phone calls over a number of weeks until you feel more able to cope with everyday life. After a few calls you may start to feel much better.
Counselling calls
May suit you if your experience is affecting your present life and you want help to change this. This is more in-depth and involves scheduled therapy sessions for a number of months. After some time you may begin to understand more about the difficulties you are experiencing and become more able to take control of your life.
Our Approach
Our counselling team consists of experienced, fully qualified and accredited counsellors and psychotherapists who provide professional, compassionate and non-judgemental support to every caller.
Connect aims to provide an immediate and accessible response to people seeking emotional support, helping callers feel heard, supported and less alone during difficult times.
The service is free, confidential and anonymous. Telephone numbers are not visible to counsellors, helping to ensure privacy and confidentiality for all callers.
